Not Sure If I’m Getting An Education Or Getting Ripped Off

If you’re a business owner, regardless of how successful you are, listen up.

Our educational system is broken. Buts its double edged. This meme applies to not only your clients but you as well. Seriously, keep with me.

First off, lets address your CLIENTS. Pet dog owners encompass about 90% of all the bacon, bread, bucks, cash, money, REVENUE currently flowing into our industry that makes up YOUR income.

But the actual MODEL we have all used and assumed for decades DOESNT MATCH THE MARKET any longer.

This is the point where you’re eyes are likely glazing over “Whats the freaking point Maggie?” Grab some coffee, water or your balls for all I care. Stick with me.

Bottom line is we’re using inefficient systems, our students fail not because they don’t give a shit (ok, there are THOSE people, but they are much fewer than you think) They fail because, like you and me, they don’t have ACESS to enriched enough experiences to kick start habit change.

BECAUSE WE’RE NOT PROVIDING THOSE OPTIONS.

What results is a guaranteed spiral of disappointment turned bitterness toward clients. And from client to business. You can see it ALL over the Facebook groups these days.

It breeds apathy and shifts the blame back to the people that were seeking help to begin with and in some cases to the business. We as professionals aren’t talking about why students fail, unless it includes 100% blame on the client.

In my research on the widespread problem of Compassion Fatigue, I believe this to be a biggest compounding factor. In other words, our broken system makes our lives a living hell eventually.

This has been a HUGE area of work in my career. To the point there I dedicated 4 years to learning alternative education and program development techniques in a different industry. In fact this is one of our clients favorite services we offer, is completely updating their education models.

I wish I could tell you to just ponder those thoughts, but I can’t. Now I have to share with you the OTHER side of the same coin. Another dirty-nasty-good-for-nuffin secrets.

Since breaking into full time coaching for business owners, it has downright shocked me to discover the amount of time and money wasted by biz owners every year. It’s atrocious and done with absolutely no awareness that its even taking place.

I talk with Biz Owners EVERY SINGLE DAY that have experienced this on some level. They mirror, exactly, the client experience. They just don’t realize it. In fact, that is another huge roadblock I’ve discovered, and the biggest reason business owners hold themselves back. But more on that a different time.

Bottom line is, many of the owners I have the ball bursting blessings of connecting with can FEEL that something huge is missing. The people that are brave enough to embark on the coaching journey with me all end up finding the pieces that they couldn’t get ahold of before.

But not simply because I provide sterile information and standard fair education experience. Because the PROGRAM MODEL is designed to go deep, get intimate and simply get shit done. And it works for all of us. Professional to pet dog clients.

We all need to be striving to cultivate EXPERIENCES that can transcend the way people think. You, your client, and in doing so, the general public.

When you shift just this ONE thing in your biz, you will reverse the shitball rolling down the hill, and attract nothing but positive change. Financially, Body, Mind, and Soul.

The Worst Enemy to Creativity is Self Doubt…

I had a moment where I almost slipped into old patterns. Ones that used to burn me out.

I had “someone” sabotage me. I mean to the point where I wanted to rip the spiritual carnage she stole from me right back.

Through her ribcage.

I was angry. I was depressed. I was a wreck!!!!

Then I moved past it and took stock of why it happened and what I was really trying to share that had put me in such a vulnerable position.

I finally internalized the truth. I’m not just a creative, cutting edge person. But that’s who I’ve always surrounded myself by. Other pioneers that are constantly reaching to and CREATING the next trends in the industry.

That’s just WHO I am.

So when I discovered TODAY of all days that a well known person teaching similar skills to business professionals is trying to use a program outline that was created by me, I laughed.

And laughed some more. Then took a deep breath.

Instead of reacting, despite knowing who the leak came from I am comforted by knowing that I will always be a step ahead.

I will always be creating and enhancing the model. While I leave dishonest posers in the DUST.

“See me? No? That’s because you can’t.

You can see the dollar signs but don’t give a real shit about the people you’re serving otherwise you would have reached out for the rest of the pieces. “

That’s my message to her. She’s doing a disservice to the very people that are putting their trust in her. I would have gladly helped and taken her on as a client. Advised, or at least consulted briefly.

Now, now I know. I’ve got your number.

As for the rest of you that are living OR have lived in fear or your own creative self and have had your energy and creations stolen just remember one thing;

Those that steal from you are doomed to failure because one day enough people will sense and experience the TRUTH.

Then all the sales funnels and online marketing in the world will not save you.

That is not my problem. It’s a problem of our own CREATION. Pretty much the only authentic thing you’ve CREATED.

Don’t be that person. And if you need help, ASK for it. Seek support. No need reinventing the wheel but when you steal concepts you are guaranteed to launch without all the bits and pieces.

That will be the beginning of the end.

I’ve seen many biz owners come and go. Dishonesty and not having something truly YOU is not only NOT nice but a spiritual drain.

Now all I care about is giving you a safe place to learn and grow. Including myself. Trust is huge. Break that and I won’t throw you a rope when you’re drowning.

Stay honest and I will do everything in my power to support you.

You Can’t Save Your Way to Wealth!

Let’s get something out of the way. Wealth isn’t all about finances. Wealth is about your mindset, value and resources.

I’ve talked to you guys a ton this last week about the pit falls of being a “captain save-a-hoe” and the fear surrounding charging your real worth.

Often this is the first mental shift you have to break through in order to think in terms of investment and wealth.

When your biz is healthy, you’ve worked intimately on niche-programs-community building. First stage is your clients recognizing “Holy Roller Balls! This person is a WEALTH of information and resources”

Your perceived value to QUALITY clients will start to skyrocket. And the money will roll in hand over fist.

And that’s where business owners get dazed and confused.

“I’M not GREEDY!” “Live within your means” “simplify your life!” And more grossly cliche’ vernacular gets thrown around to guilt trip you either by YOURSELF or those that know you.

But guess who the biggest culprits of the negative talk are? People that struggle. And bitch and moan about their situation. People that never CHANGE their situation.

Let’s talk about a common scenario: Biz Owners “investing” in seminars/workshops.

They pay to learn more “tactics” not actually business growth strategies.

They aren’t investing, so much as wasting money. “What the f#ck Maggie?!” You ask?! Well, it’s true.

It COSTS you to get education. We rarely invest in a way that benefits the biz. How is that $3000 seminar going to help you increase your revenue? It doesn’t.

The intimate coaching I do with my clients allow them to build a business where they are finding quality clients, have high dollar programs and are organized to have an influx of revenue specifically for continuing Ed.

In short, their business seamlessly pays for the things AFTER ample money is there. My clients don’t go to events to be “better business owners so they can make more money” they go because they can already afford to throw down the investment without thinking twice.

Wealth is about being positioned to have the support and resources to tackle anything and everything.

When you try and save money just to get to a seminar in the hopes of learning more to charge more, you’ve already lost.
